Bamboo is a beloved plant of many a garden in Brighton and Hove. However, if it isn’t contained in the correct way, it can be a nightmare.
We’ve been called to work on quite a few gardens where bamboo had run wild and taken over. One garden was virually all bamboo and not much else.
Some of our clients plant bamboo in pots. This is probably the safest way to have bamboo in your garden. The plant can look pretty in the right pot and can really enhance the ethetic of certain gardens.
If you want bamboo in your garden then you need to do your research about how to contain it. If you already have bamboo and it’s already out of hand then I would suggest calling a gardener in to contain it for you, unless you have experience of how to do it yourself.
