A Beautiful Park in Brighton

DaffodilsI went for a late winter walk in Stanmer Park on the weekend with my two children. We found areas awash with the colours of early spring – daffodils and snowdrops swayed in the gentle breeze.

We are lucky in Brighton and Hove to have such a wonderful park, right on our doorstep!

The scent of a bonfire led us further in and away from the masses, who enjoyed the park in their own way, on the lawns near the picture-perfect Stanmer House.

We found secret hideaways and animal shelters. We designed our own quiz and named the trees and the plants that surrounded us.

Spring is coming! The wait will be over soon as colour will return to our city by the sea.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to start gardening again after the short winter break!
